Mumbai Strikers forwards Akshay Devadiga & Ravish D’souza grabbed sublime hat-tricks as they powered MS to a 10-1 victory over local favourites Nahur SC.
MS were in for a tough fight as Nahur SC being the home team were backed with all-out support from their local fans. The atmosphere was electric as the Nahur SC & Mumbai Strikers Fans turned up in numbers to cheer their teams. MS got the opener as Striker Ravish D latched on to a mistake by the Nahur Defence to slot home the ball with a neat left footer. The early goal boosted the MS morale as they went on to score ten goals in the match conceding one when some slack defending by the MS defence gifted the Nahur Striker a simple tap-in. The score read 10-1 at the final whistle. Akshay D and Ravish D went on to grab Hat-tricks whereas Sunil Peddamalli, Abhijit Shetty, Rohit D’souza scored a goal each & an own goal lead to a consecutive 10-1 scoreline for Mumbai strikers in two consecutive matches.
MS held to their 2nd place finish in the Mulund Football League standings after matchweek three.
