Five Mumbai Strikers Womens Rugby Team girls, ex-students of St. Marys Convent, Mulund have powered their way into the Indian U-18 Rugby team that will feature in the Asian U18 Women’s Championship to be held in Dubai.

Ruchi Shetty, Gargee Walekar, Kshitija Manglurkar, Krutuja Manglurkar and Shraddha Lawand have worked hard to make it to the squad and truly deserve every inch of this opportunity. Coaches Rohit D’souza, Sudarshan N, Ajay N, Vijay N, Keagen A, Rakesh P and Arun T from MS have put in tremendous effort in mentoring them from days of school up to this level. It has been a wonderful journey for these girls since then and nothing has stopped them so far in earning several accolades in rugby. This is a golden opportunity for the girls to shine and it seems like the days are not far when they will represent the Indian Senior Rugby Team.

The tournament will begin on the 1st of December and will go on till the 3rd. That is not the end of this great news, Ruchi Shetty has also been chosen as the Vice Captain of the squad that will represent India and it adds another feather to her cap.

Mumbai Strikers SC are proud of their girls and wish them good luck for the tourney.
