Mumbai Strikers Mens 7s rugby team member Arun Thomas was part of the Thane District Senior Mens Team in the recently concluded 2nd Maharashtra Inter-District Senior Mens Rugby Championship held at RTMN University Ground, Nagpur. The Thane team stood third overall at the championship.

The Thane team in the league got past the Akola and Nandurbag District team, 6 - 0 and 8 - 0 respectively. They lost to Mumbai 6 - 1 in the Semifinals.

Thane played Nandurbag again for the 3rd place winning it 9 -1.
