A 7s Rugby Tournament was held this year on the 23rd of August at the renowned Bombay Gymkhana grounds. It was organized on the occasion of the friendly match between the Indian Rugby Football Union and the British Parliamentary Commons & Lords who flew all the way to promote the upcoming sport of Rugby here in India. The friendly encounter was a full-fledged 15-a-side game in which the British side came out victorious.

Mumbai Strikers SC were invited to participate in the tournament. Bombay Gymkhana Colts, Bombay Gymkhana Hammers, Maharashtra Police, Marvari RC, Ace Foundation and Magicians were the other teams invited for the tournament. Maharashtra Police grabbed the silverware after defeating the BG Hammers in the final match.
