The Mumbai Strikers fell one game short of winning the championship in the Nirmalites Rink Football Tournament held at the Rmall Turf on the 20th and 21st of December 2014.
This tournament saw some of the top rink teams from all over mumbai compete. In game 1, the Strikers comprehensively defeated A United by a scoreline of 3-0. Game two was a goalless draw and saw an exciting penalty shoot-out against Veena Nagar which featured current MSSC player Karan P. The shoot-out ended in favour of MSSC and the score read 2-1 at the end of it. MSSC qualified for the next round and expected tough encounters as teams of equal calibre had qualified as well. In game 3, the Strikers were drawn against Cypress FC which included MSSC midfielder Abhijit S. Both teams took away the share of the spoils and entered the shoot-out phase where MSSC beat them 3-2 and moved to the finals. MSSC and Rijoh FC qualified for the final bout and the two teams put up a good show to stay in contention for victory and they kept the excitement building as regulation time score read 0-0. The penalty shoot-out decided the winners of this tournament and it was Rijoh FC who came out smiling with a 2-0 score in the shoot-out. The team for this tournament featured Akshay D, Sunil P, Ravish D, Pranav M, Arnold M and Rakesh P.
MSSC stood Runners-Up and it was a great result and boost especially after their loss in the MFL campaign to Desperados FC.
