Mumbai Strikers SC will hold the Independence Cup Touch Rugby Championship on 16th August 2015 in collaboration with the Rugby Association of Maharashtra. The tournament will enter its third year and many teams from all over Mumbai will take part in this annual event.

The tournament will accommodate three categories, mainly Men’s, Women’s and Mixed. The Independence Cup which transformed from a Football tournament to a Rugby tournament three years ago has become a platform to exhibit skills and also scouting for Rugby teams in the city. With few tournaments being held for Rugby players, this tournament has advanced in its own way as a new venue has been chosen to host this event. The tournament will be conducted at the Sambhaji Ground located in the eastern part of Mulund.
